Common Plec Fin Damaged.

Common Plec Fin Damaged.
 
This happened over night but no idea how. The Plec is bigger than all the other fish the next biggest being the Sevums.
 
It has now, two gaps in it's dorsal fin.
 
It is a bit clumsy and bumps into things when he goes for air.
 
Although this is the tank I "saved" from eBay, and is over stocked, they all get along peacefully. Any ideas?

Does anyone know if gaps in Plec fins grow back or not?

Could possibly be the Severums. My Pleco has had a gap in his dorsal fin since day 1, it seems to heal and then come back all the time. I wouldn't worry about it, they can do it from scraping on bog wood or anything sharp in the tank.
