I recently rehomed what looks like a common plec. I asked how long the previous owner had him and he said a few years. He's in good condition but is only about 5-6 inches. Is there any similar looking plecs that he could be as most commons would be a lot bigger by now.

it may have been stunted due to being in a tank to small if your certain its a common

Are they any signs of that or not? Does that mean it will start growing again now its in a larger tank.

how fast to commons grow? i have a pair that i can only assume are commons. (sold to me when i didn't know better) they must be a year old now, and still small (aprox 10cm) but did spend the first 8 months of their lives in a BiOrb
