Commet Goldfish Not Getting Their Deserved Credit.

They are the outcasts and you get next to nothing for (adult) commets at any petshop, yet... in my opinion... Black Moores and Lionheads breed as easily as these do, but their prices skyrocket.... The commet is a beautiful fish (and Shibunkin - for that matter) but are not in demand....

i have comets in my pond too..i love the huge fins but im more a fan of the compact common goldie.
 
I like my rescued comet and think shubunkinare gorgeous with all those colours. I hate extreme "fancy" goldfish with bubble eyes and hunchback bodies, feel sorry for the poor things deliberately bred deformed for some people's amusement. I do have one rescued fancy, called him Bug Eyes for obvious reasons.
 
Unfortunately, I cannot get a good photo of this fish to show you the true splendour of its tail and fins….. it is a gorgeous fish if you can see it for real…..
