Hi guys, I've been reading up for daysto try and find out what my heavily pregnant guppy has.
Think I have finally found out though but just wondering if I am correct. She discovered a sort of bleached layer just beneath her skin. It is a huge white patch. And she has been lopsided and lazy just stuck at one corner of the tank at the bottom sometimes vertical. It only appeared yesterday morning and overnight she suddenly passed away! I need help to try and figure out if I have correctly diagnosed her problem!

What did u diagnose her with.?

I think it may be columnarus, That's what the symptoms show. Could be stress with moving her from the store to the tank And with her being pregnant but I am not entirely sure! I'll upload some pictures on here when I'm on the computer!

It doesn't sound like columnaris to me; that normally looks fluffy or cotton wool-y, like a fungus.

You'll see how it looks when I put a picture up in a little while. I cant think what it could be. It came and took her away all in one day. And the other heavily pregnant fish in our nursery tank are all fine and dandy!

A pic would probably help, if you can, that would be great :good:

managed to get on the computer now, heres one picture of the poor girl. was maybe hours away from giving birth too.

ok never mind, it wont let me upload any pictures. says their too big! drats!!

You need to upload them to a hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket first :good:

If you head to squawk advice.com I have 2 pictures on there if you search for heavily pregnant guppy in the search link! I have that on my iPhone so was able to upload pics to that site!

"Aquariumadvice.com" darn predictive text lol.
