Hey!

Im thinking of changing my argos playsand - keep getting grey "stains" in the sand, and it doesnt really hide any of the mess.

here are the colours i have to choose from

I want to try and steer away from black but its really the only colour that will show off the colours of the fish.

I wouldnt mind using blue but fear it would "wash out" the colours. Any suggestions?

black is a good colour but you said you want to steer away from it so i would try blue should give a decent tank look ( iv tryed green looked awful imo)

Only reason i want to avoid black is because other people use it, i want to be different.

I did think about green for a grassy look but as you said... would look awful lol.

Absolutely black, if you don't want natural/white. Anything else looks too unnatural imo and distracts from the colours of the fish.

The greyness appears due to lack of water movement / dead spots

I often find some under wood when i lift it up.

...That said, I do quite like the orangey one. Depends on how bright it is I suppose, I'd prefer it to be a dark, 'matte' orange.
