Right when they got the horrible whitespots, their whole body turned paler. And now only one of them have 2 spots on, and I noticed its colour is paler than the another one.

But just during dinner time tonight, they came out as soon as they smell of food! :hyper:
Ok, then after feeding, the paler one turns darker within minutes!! Actually I noticed it switching darker/paler these two days. Why? Do they change colour according to the mood?
But I don't see the "spotless" one doing that...

if it is white spot then it's possibly ich,1 of my clown loach died of that o i gave the others away to my friend cause i know it will get too big, the clown that i had before it died, he was always on top of the tank and he looked like he was choking or something and he died the day after, but now i know how to treat ich so my other fish r fine now :D

You've just answered your own question. Yes. They go pale when they dont feel right! etc: the company, pecking orders, water quality, infections,no hidey holes,...........

I have one who turns almost white when there's food in the tank, the others don't, just the one, he gets so greedy and possesive , but just like yours he changes to his normal colors when the food is gone

Ooo I'm interested to know the pecking orders. Since there's only 2 of them, and the one with spots on is the smaller one, will it compete with the "spotless" one as the leader? :saddam:

As for the water, the ammonia level was at 0.5-1, nitrites at 0.25-0.5 today@8:00pm. Water is still cloudy. And I've done a 20% water change this afternoon. Overall, the fishies are more active today than yesterday (hope it's a good sign).

When looking at the pictures of people's Clowns, they'r so fat! Should I feed mine more food so they can be fatter and possibly healthier?

huh? i do not think fat means healty, but um my bronze cory and my red tail shark is so fat, mayby it it's because i feed too much and the left over food gets eaten my them once they sink to the botom, that's why i like the bronze cory so much! now i kinda want my bronze cory to get less fat! if u know what i mean

is it true that fish do not know if they r full or not? so they will die if i over feed them? if so i should watch what i'm doing!

:p May be it's just my childhood experiences... when I was small, my grandparents and parents would try to stuff food into me hoping I'd get fatter and grow quicker! And now I'm using this concept on my fishies!

I just want to improve their immune systems bcoz the water alone is horrible enough. I only set up the tank a week before they came home and I was told later that the tank hasn't been cycled yet... and whitespots and cloudy water etc... They'r already very tough to have gone through all these ...

The Pecking orders only come into effect when mixing species of fish and a group of fish. Say! Clowns like a pack 2 to 6 or more. There will be a pecking order into who's the boss of haveing first choice of food and the best hidey hole. Eating! Dont overfeed! Let their digestive system work by not over feeding.

I found out that one of the Black Neons is missing! Tried searching it and nearly hoovered up all the gravels but still nowhere to be seen... very probable that the Clowns have eaten it (do you think so? as they'll eat snails, bloodworms, brine shrimps etc.) AND I think the tummys of the Clowns have bloated up a bit

Should I stop feeding the 2 Clowns for a day or more? Don't want them to die of having too much food...

I bet your neon died and then the clowns ate it, I doubt they killed it , mine don't even bother ghost shrimp
But if your ever want to give them a treat, clowns LOVE slices of cucumber, or some blanched zucchini or spinach leaves and they'll also enjoy a small piece of banana ,but that will cloud your tank slightly for a couple of hours
I guess you could say mine are pretty chubby too
