well. Thats kinda hard to tell since some colors and fin/tail types are dominant over others.

TO find out if your fish are homozygous or heterozygous for a certain trait, you must breed them for a couple of generations to develop a punett square. Then you can determine your chances for any generation you choose.

With the reds, you would get multis and pastels with a lot of red wash. The steels would give some of the same as the male, and probably some steels as well. I know sometimes you have to use what you have, but if you want something in particular, you should try and find those types of bettas and breed them. A pastel female would give you some nice pastel fry. Try and find a steel or red male to breed with your other females. You would probably be much happier with the results.

Oh, no worries, I'm -definately- not breeding any time soon... no money or time, but i was curious as to what sort of colors a match like that might make.
