The colloidal silver has now arrived to treat Bob the Betta, who has dropsy. Does anyone have any ideas on dosage? He is in a 12 gallon tank and I don't have a smaller quarantine tank available. Also, will it kill the good bacteria in the filter? I was going to add some to all my tanks, but suddenly thought it might un-cycle them all!!! Urghhhh!!

Plus, I've just taken a teaspoonful to try to combat my continual throat and ear infections....so if you don't hear from me again you'll know I shouldn't have!

:D

Edit: It's 3ppm if that makes any difference!

man, 3ppm...you can throw the whole bottle in :/ I'd put a bunch in the water, see if you can get him to take some orally be it straight or in his food. I also like to pull them and add it directly to the body.

You won't hurt your good bacteria, so doh't worry about that. Dropsy's rough...I doubt 3ppm will touch it, but it's worth a try. In the future get some 500ppm and you'll get better results.
