I just wanted to post to say how great Colloidal Silver is. I finally gave it a shot after a spate of deaths and illness in my tank which nothing else has had any effect on. One of my albino cories has been looking unwell for the past week, hiding away, not eating much, not his usual self at all. I put in some colloidal silver yesterday morning and when I got up this morning he is playing in the filter flow!! He has had some boodworms and looks much happier! :D

Yay for silver!

I've seen folk talk about it on the forum but never tried it. Where abouts did you get it from - a chemist shop or somewhere else?

For those of us (me) that have never heard of it,
what exacly is collodial silver and what is it used for?

I believe theres a thinumy in the betta section about it, basicly its a very powerful anti-bacterial etc. stuff. Very good, but quite pricy.

I had to get it over the internet as I have never seen it in any shop. They have it on ebay too but you have to be careful who you buy from and make sure they are reputable. It is fairly pricey stuff so I don't think I would be one of those people who uses it frequently.

The link that abstract posted has the most comprehensive set of info I have seen yet so definately read it!
