Colloidal IS the magic juice

I'm going to have to break down and order some of this. Definitely sounds like a good thing to have on hand  From what I could see on a search, $30 for an 8 oz bottle is fairly typical. Perhaps the original $60 pricetag was what it was before more competition started selling it.

Check your local health food stores too. I only pay 6.99 for a half ounce bottle of 500 ppm. It's a small bottle but sometimes I don't have the 28.99 for the 2 ounce :look: The price evens out. Your lhfs may already carry it, or might order it. Don't go to a flashy place like GNC, look for a more original shop and you might have luck.

I was JUST about to ask if I could get it at a Health food store. :p

Does anyone use it with fish other than Bettas? :dunno:

I've heard people ave luck with it in humans, horses, cats, dogs, and tons of fish. It seems like worthwile stuff, I might just go bargain hunting for some.

We use it at the animal rescue I work at. Seems like the "magical juice." I should "borrow" some from there..... :D

I use it in my big tanks sometimes. All of my fish have had it in their water at one point or another.

I've heard that people have even cured parvo in dogs with it. I dunno how hard that is to do anymore, but I remember a few years ago it was next to impossible.

As a soothing agent for their fins and any other minor skin lesions, 8 drops per 5 gallons (this is all for 550 ppm strength)... When there are major problem or someone's very sick, I usually triple that amount, or wuv recommended 1/4 teaspoon (correct me if I'm wrong wuv) for 2.5G tanks.

According to most people you can't reall overdose on it but that's the recommended dosage.

Sorry to bring this back up but I did my homework on colloidal ;)

The ony way to OD colloidal is to dump the entire thing into your tank, really. But using too much is just a waste and won't make it work any better, and at that price, CONSERVE.

It is a natural holistic item, and benefits most animals.

Wow, so I called our uber fish store and the girl though I was looking for a plant when I asked if they had colloidal silver... haha. BUT I did end up calling 4 GNCs and finally found one that still had it in stock. They have 2oz bottles for $10 or an 8oz bottle for $25. Gee, lets think about this one here. Course, then you have to go to Walgreens and get an eyedropper, but that's only another buck.

It's only 10ppm, though... hmmm... guess I'll just have to add a little more than I think I should. And like Orky said, I highly doubt I'll overdose on it!!

I'll let you know how the magic juice works on my Kirsten... and her weird swimming issues.

i will toss in my 2 cents about the stuff, although is does work great i found in my experience with it that it dirties up the water nice and fast, although i think i used monotomic (sp?) silver

great stuff though
