i need a small freshwater shrimp that can live in 14 degrees celcius (57 farenheit), herbivore/detritus eater that can live and breed in at least 5 gallons

With more info you get a much more specific response, is the tank you want to use unheated? Seems to me glass shrimp may be your answer and besides they are cheap.

They are found all over the world and occur in cold or warm water. The ones around here survive in water that is 5C in winter and 30C in summer.
Go to your local creek and drag a net through the grass/ weeds in the water next to the bank. You should be able to find your own local variety.
yeah they are shrimp only, i have another set of tanks in my patio for my guppy and gourami fry, these are with shrimp only in mindBut make sure it’s a shrimp only tank, because you don’t want to be introducing disease into a tank with fish.
