There were loads of these for sale at the fish shop I went in last week ! If I ever get any algae I may get one

yep George&Ade you have a a lovely telescope fantail and a hillstream loach which does come under other names like chinese algea eater to name but a few, I have one in my tank and like you the goldfish eat the food before the hillstream gets a look in but it is doing well, I have had it just over a year so it must be getting something to eat, it tends to grub along the back of the tank and plants/wood etc, for micro organisms (aufwuchs).
