I haven't been able to find hardly anything on these guys besides what is on liveaquaria.com. I read that they like low lighting, and need adequate filter food, and are moderately easy to keep. Any experience?

They don't need low light, they have no light requirement needs, and if its not bright enought to burn an acro it won't hurt them. Some people have lots of troble with feather duster worms of various kinds, live phytoplankton is best for keeping them.

Cocos are EXPENSIVE and NOT easy to keep. Feather dusters, IMO, are a lot harder to keep than they let you know in the biz. SH

i dont know much about coco worms but i dont think feather dusters arent that hard to keep. ever since i got mine all i did different was add some phytoplankton every few days(didnt spot feed) and ive had no probs what so ever. IME as long as you keep the water quality very good and regular feedings feather dusters will do well. by my understanding cocos are more sensitive but like i said i dont know much about them.

I've had my four in my nanocube12 /aquapod24 for a month and a half now and they have all grown substantially, there also a bit cowardly now :(. but I only had one drop its crown and that was because it only had about 25% of a small crown left when I got it and one bailed from its tube while I was switching tanks.

I have had my current Feather Duster for 3 Years and it is looking great

Also have had my Coco's have had for over a year and again have had no probs

Only target feed on the odd occasion

:D :D

Yeah I saw one at a LFS and it was 40 dollars. I have feather dusters popping up all over my tank, so some species are obviously a lot easier to keep than others. I had a "fancy hawaiian" feather duster that died, but I didn't do much filter feeding with it, so when I try again I will keep that part in mind.
