Went back to the lfs where I saw Cochu's tetras 6 months ago. A small school of the same individuals are still there, which sort of reassures me about their hardiness to our local water (someone here said they are mega-sensitive).
On the other hand, they have put on a lot of weight! I know they were never meant to be torpedo-shaped, they are among the more high-bodied species, but these seemed to be waddling through the water! Do I really want something that seems set to emulate the balloon molly? They really look much fatter than in any pics I've seen. Do you think they might be overfed? Definitely not dropsy: like all his fish they seem in good health.
