Clowns.... Are Mine Stupid?

The other day i picked up my first fish(s) for my new tank !! i got to very very small percula clown! IU also picked up a bubble tipped nem!

Ok so here is my question. The nem i got was in a different tank then the clowns but there was another bubble tip in the tank with the clowns (but it got sold earlier that day) The guy at the LFS said that the clowns were in the bubble tip when it was in the tank, but when i got my clowns and nem home and they got put in the tank the clowns didn't go near the nem.. so i though that's ok..there just scared form the move, but they have been in my tank 2 day's now, and they still haven't went to the nem?? But this is the part were i ask "are mine stupid" they both hang around this big hammer coral i have in my tank they both keep lying in it and swimming throng the long "tenyicals"(sp) of the hammer coral.. do the clowns think that my hammer coral is a nem?? How can i make them notice that there is a bubble tip watting for them?

If the clowns like the hammer, they will most likely stay in it. I'd try to return the BTA to your LFS, plus now you don't have to worry about the nem killing your corals

I am not sure what type of coral it is that my clowns like to hang out in but I suspect it is also a hammer one. I had to put the coral just above the nem so that both clowns had the best of both coral + nem.

So this isn't uncommon. the little critters just get confused sometimes

Funniest part about Ali's picture is that percula and ocellaris host in Haddon's Carpet Anemones (the green one to the right of the hammer) in the wild

i had some red mat alge on my sand bed and my clowns were rooling around in that?? why won't they go to my nem!?? could it just be the fish (but they were in a different nem befor) or could it be the nen (the nem had skunk clowns in it befor)

The bubble tip i got is a brownish/green clour with white spots all over it....my lfs said they come in all kinds of clours? but they also said i could trad in my bubble tip for another, or i could get a carpet nem??

what should i do!!!???

Just return the BTA and trade it in for another coral/item you want or like.

If you want a carpet nem then you can't really hve any other fish as they are very predatory......if you jsut want to keep your clowns then that is ok. But don't put two nems in your tank, not a good move.

ya im not planning on keeping 2 nems!

and i do think i will be taking it back and trading it in for another coral or fish!
