yeap unfortunate nature.really all u can do is remove the fish to quarunteen when its taken to sideways swimming and hope it regenerates to healthy status and try again! or buy a new clowny. my first female who i ended up giving up on and buying anouther established pair was actually knock my other clowns that i put in with her at early stages out of the tank. i went through 2 partners befor i noticed it was her knocking them out of the smallest nich in the tank.

Technically they are all born sexually immature/incomplete males. Then the largest becomes a sexually mature female, and the second largest becomes a mature male. Immature males can become either mature males or mature females; Mature males can become mature females; mature females cannot become anything else and WILL have aggression issues in a moderate or smaller sized aquarium
