is it possible to keep a single clown loach or 2 rather than a school?

i wouldnt, they are fish that prefer to be kept in groups

its not recommended to keep them alone, also they grow to 12" so i hope you have a big tank if your planning to have a few

i bought 3 for £15. when one died, the other two became lonely so, i wouldnt keep them in smaller groups then 3 but 5/6 preferably.
