Clown Pleco

Hey there,

I bought this lovely little fella today:

Now what I didn't realise is that originally Clown plecs live amongs wood in the wild.

My tank doesn't have any wood in it, nor any real plants. Will he be ok being a domestically bred pleco or would you reccomend getting some bits of wood for him to rest on?

I'd suggets some driftwood. Plecs need roughage.

They do need wood, it is an essentail part of their diet and also provides security and hiding spots.

Cheers for the comments guys, I am thinking of getting a few small bits of wood and positioning them under the rocks in the middle and at the front of my tank to encourage him to "graze" there.

they will need wood, a ave and they do best in groups of around 6 or more, great little plecs.
