well i have my tank setup and running with mature media i have four small clown loachs(will be adding 2 more) and i was wondering if i could add a red-tailed black shark. there is alot of rock work in the tank as it was a africa cichild tank and i just left all the work in.
thanks :hyper:

I had a clown loach and a redtail shark who were best friends until the shark died a few months ago, he was 6 years old. Loach and shark would sit together on a rock all the time. Still have the loach.

i have the same size tank. My RTBS and 4 clowns share a 3 level rock formation that i built. They are the best of friends and dont cause any problems with my other fish. The clowns were always hiding until i bought the shark. Now they all cruise the tank together. Best decision i ever made with my tank.

Of course, the personality of RTBS differs among each fish. So you may not be as lucky.

My red tailed shark would actually swim around with the group of clown loaches. It's amazing how well the two species tend to get along together. Sounds like a good match to me :good: .

God Bless,
Joshua
