Clown Loaches

Having read the previous threads re:Clowns I would say that 3/or 4 in most medium to large tanks is fine.

Plus as we all know as the Clowns get very large ( thats if they do get past 6/8 inches) they lose the colouring which IMO loses the effect of these great fish.

My 4 IN MY 30gallon tank are all doing well and I have to say are the most rewarding fish that I have in my tank.

Ostrow thank you very much for your advice and CM too- the debate is interesting as you hear so much conflicting information when you are a basic hobbyist like me!..

I do understand exactly what you are both saying- i plan to increase the size of my tank when i move house, the small octagonal is all my apartment can handle at the mo...i am very aware of the potential for things not to be stable in such a small environment, i water test daily and do very small water changes daily also to keep things as constant as possible for the tank inhabitants.

I too have seen many people keep a couple of clowns in smaller tanks such as mine successfully, i just wanted to be sure of what is ideal and realistic for them.

The info provided is very useful- thank you both :p
