The last couple of day's my to Clown loach has been sitting on the heater, where the sucker's are to hold the heater to the glass, they have sat on top of each other on the there.. Is there any reason for it..

i'm not sure, maybe this is daft that they are cold, maybe?? As told by my pet shop the heater is set to 26'C.. Any one have any suggestion's?

Thank's hope this don't sound daft

How large is your tank? You are aware that male and female bettas are generally only kept together when they are breeding right? Otherwise the male will probably beat up the female.

Hi the tank is 4 foot long, bought a foot wide, & 2 foot high, it's a clear seal tank...

I ve knew that about the siamese but they been together about 3 month's & they have been fine, he havent dont anything to her just yet, fair play to him he don't bother any of the fish

I dont know how many gallons that is but 1.)FYI, Clown loaches get 12 inches or larger and need to be kept in groups 2). You shouldnt ever keep a male and female betta together unless breeding, he will kill her sooner or later. 3). Neon tetras need to be kept in large groups 4). I wouldnt be suprised if the angelfish took a bite at the neons when they get larger.
On to your question-Clown Loaches are notorious for their strange behavior hence the name, If he/she is still eating and showing no signs of stress or illness its probably fine. Good luck.

All the fish i got in there was recommened by my local pet store that they can all live together happily, i want to go up to about 20 neon's, but doin it bit at a time, i dont want to rush & fill my tank up! my bettas are doin fine at the moment which im happy with.. See how the nagel's get on has they get older... I want to get a elephant nose but not sure

yea... ok well just go by what the pet shop says then from now on and see how long everything goes smoothly. I stand by all my statements and feel others will agree too. The bettas need to be seperated its only a matter of time. And dont get an elephant nose, extremely sensitive and need special care. Not a beginner fish at all. Please dont listen to every word the pet shop says.

remember most LFS/LPS are their to sell you things. it doesn't matter to them that your fish will die, kill each other or demise in some other way
because you'll go back to them to buy more.
there are a few good shops that actually care about fish and until you find one like that, take everything they say with a pinch of salt and do your own research first before parting with your money.

This forum is the best place for free advise and we are not trying to sell you stuff you don't need, shouldn't have.
who should you believe someone trying to take your money, or someone trying to help you care for your fish correctly;
only you can answer that.

absolutely

everything poopswdrew said is right too.

there's a link in my sig which tells you how to work out compatible fish for yourself which may help you. always good to do your own research rather than just rely on what others have told you.

My clown loaches swim vertically up into the leaves of my long leaved plants and continue to do this until they get wedged in the plant! :hyper: Also dont get worried if you see they on the bottom on there sides, they're known for doing that too, mine do it in the smallest space under some bogwood.

Thank you guys :good: I was worried for a second no one was going to back up the advice I was trying to give. Now if only that person would respond after we give them the correct response....

they may be 'fine' now, but within time they will turn on each other, the bettas will more than likely turn on each other, as well as the angel fish and the tetras, the tetras will nip the male betta as will the angel, the loaches will grow up to 12" and prefer to be in groups as said, in future research fish you are interesed in BEFORE you buy :good: and in future don't trust every word your LFS says, come here if you have doubts

thank's all for the replys..

Being a beinnger with so much thrown at me , never knew how complicated fish could be.. Being told tropical is easy, you can mix loads of fish together.. this that other...

What am i suppose to do just keep a tank of one breed being has the fish i got will eventually kill each other anyway.. why would there be so many breeds if you can't mix any of them...

No you can mix plenty of them you just chose the wrong ones, this hobby actually will require some work on your part.

Your tank is roughly 60 USFG. Clown loaches are named clowns for their "strange" behaviour. As indicated, as long an they are eating and don't show signs of distress they are likely OK. That is the good news. Clowns like to be in groups of 6 or more as they are a very social, within their species, fish. As has been said they can reach 12" however the largest I have scene in captivity is about 9". In any event your tank is no where near large enough to properly house an appropriate school of clown loaches.

Yeh, when i first had all these fish i was happy with it & thought i was doin well with the advice from the pet shop..

But now it dont seem that way at all... At least they are all still alive happy 7 eating well, apart from clown loach which likes to nestle on teh heater
