Noticed after going out tonite...I just don't believe it. his the only fish showing symptons- it come on so rapid with lots of dots, I hope I've caught it in time,

Checked my water, was spot on

Nitrites 0ppm
Ammonia 0ppm
oxygen 5
Ph 7.6
Temp 82F

Just dunno why this chaps gone down with it stress from somewhere?

Maybe my tank hadn't fully got rid of white spot from the last treatment--- gowd I've never had ICH problems like this before

My clowns seem to get ich every time I move them from a tank....or they are just the very first to get it.....and are usually very easy to cure....Good luck!

chris

Cheers I wonder if it was because I moved a big rock around yesterday? and he couldn't handle it, its only one of the pair with it showing signs

Just out of interest when treating for ICH do you stick to the instructions or do you have a better method I've always gone by the instructions, but have read in forums other methods,

Like my Anti white spot (interpet) is for 7 days then a 30% water change and re-treat if nec

Clowns and ICH. I'm sure they do it on purpose.

I always use a half dose of Interpret and raise the temp to above 80 degrees.
Catch it in time and he should be alright, and you should avoid an outbreak.

Good luck.
Ian.

This morning a couple of other fish have 1 or 2 spots and the loaches ICH is clearing  nightmare hopefully I caught it at right time

Same thing happened to me, I just notice a couple of white spots on my clown loach today, I probably stress them out when i move my tank from my living room to my room. What med should i use that's available in canada and won't affect my loaches?

As others have mentioned Clowns and Ich go hand in hand but luckly they are relitivly easy to cure. I myself have suffered two lots of Ich with my Clowns and on both occaisions they were the only fish affected :/ . Hope they get better.

Good Luck

the rest of my fish are showing no symtoms that include my plecs and corys, however the ich is not bad there's only a couple of spots on my clown loach but i'm kinda scared to use med on them as some people says their really sensitive to it.

I experienced the same thing with my clowns when I moved their tank. I treated them using Maracide (half doses initially) and slowly raising the temp to above 80F.
The thing to remember is that they are scaleless fish and more sensitive to the ich medication.
Hope this helps.

me too.................my clowns caused a two tank plague (don't ask how, long story) and we lost some dear, old fish. I will not get them again, even though I love the little buggers. :-(

It worries me I counted 12 spots on one CL and two others have 1 or 2, a mollie and a Ram
Ah your Rams unfortunatly in my experience I have discovered that they are quite suceptible to Ich. I wich you luck in treating them, it sounds like you are doing all you can.

Good Luck

how badly can a CL get with white spot before its seriously not going to recover does anyone know?

Well mine were covered and I mean coverd and they still made a full recovery and quite quickly.

My Bettas, which I have read do not do that well with ich, made a full recovery.

They were in my tank for a week, then the temperature dropped below 74 degrees [I believe below 80 degrees triggers ich] during a powerout.

Anyways, one [the nasty male Bossy] was covered with about a dozen spots or more [the girls had 1 to 4 at the max]. It has been some weeks now and no more signs of ich.
