Justa thought for a future tank I may stock

I;ve always wanted a clown loach tank and I;ve always wanted an elephant nose tank

Coyuld the two be mixed in a 60x30x24" 150g tank

Heavily planted lots of bog wood

My concern would be the loach being too boisterous and too much of a rival for food

My thoughts would be that if I had some of each in there the upper levels could be congo tetras or a shoal of cardinals, rummy noses etc

would look great
but i think the water parameters that suits both fish are different

My relative used to have an elephant nose and he said that it was a nervous fish like the penguasuis catfish, I know that they should be in groups right? which would have made him more comftable, since he had a lot of scavenging fish there was competition in getting food. When I went down I didn't see the elephant nose properly as it always used to hide. He didn't east for almost a week so he decided to put him in the sump tank and fed him in there for a few days, then just returned him back to the lfs shop.

even though lfs say elephant fish are comunity they are not they are to shy and timid even to compete in the most peaceful comunity tank , think there great though and would consider haveing a species tank just for them if my funds permited .

To be honest I would prefer the Ghost knife fish as they are more unique looking and get used to the tank quicker. They can be aggressive when big, but not many turn out like big predators. I always thought if I had a 200g tank then clown loach and Black ghost knife fish would be my first 2 choices.
