Hello,

My story begins when I decided to buy a 120L fish tank complete with lights, heater, filter and air pump approximatley seven weeks ago. I fishless cycled the tank for five weeks to the point where it was breaking down 3ppm+ Ammonia in twelve hours. Off I went to my local fish shop to purchase some fishies... I ended up walking out the place with six 4 to 5cm Clown Loaches. I have had the Loaches for approx two weeks and they seem to be doing fine. They are always swimming up and down the side of the tank near the bubbles and they enjoy swiming around the powerhead. The first week I was feeding them blood worm. The chap in the shop told me to buy two small pouches of live blood worm and feed them every second day over the course of one week.

I then told my mum to buy some new food as I was busy working. I bought Tetra Wafer Mix and have been feeding them around 6-8small wafers every 2 days. I noticed there bellies are getting fat after feeding to the point where they look pregnant and I am abit worried I am over feeding them.

How much should I feed these?

I will be upgrading to a 300-350L fish tank this month.

Thanks for reading.

Could you get a photo?

Could be that they're fattening up after being a bit scrawny in the shop.

By the way, for six clown loaches I would start saving up for a six foot tank! Lovely fish but they get enormous.

No pictures as my camera is too low quality and you cant really make the fishies out.

mix their food up a bit, to much live food isn't good for them IMO. Cucumber, dried tubifex, flake, tabs etc.
feed as much as they eat in 2 0r 3 minutes, they will always beg for more though.
Chuck some peas in the tank they love them and will sort out any constipation.
