Clown Fish Help And Thanks Help

seems like they are stll just establishing dominance to me then.
thanks for your help one last thing i read on the internet that the shakey thing is submissive behaviour and that they should stop fighting when 1 does it but mine seem to do it before they start fighting and then after not always thro sometimes they dont shake at all and just fight is this all normal behaviour for establishing dominance
thanks

Im new at this but also have two young clowns. One is smaller than the other. The smaller one is doing that shakey thing you described. He normally does it when the bigger one tells him off. He gets told off for doing just about anything the poor fella. Eating the bigger bits of food, swimming to the other side of the tank on his own etc.

They are odd fish. I don't think you have too much to worry as long as both are eating etc and keeping healthy

good luck

Indeed, as nemo said - perfectly normal behaviour - you should see them do that 'shakey thing' in anemones :fun: it is a sight to behold

my clownfish stopped fighting now and dont do the shakey thing that much but recently i been seeing them both do it at the same time it looks like there both having a fit, i can see there is a little difference in size and just wondered if this is normal still as i read that the male normal does it when the female gets a bit annoyed.

Not abnormal for the dominate one to shake as well. Clownfish are odd little fish. "Shaking" can be used not only to show sub-ordinance but also to get attention, think of them as dating at the moment

Haven't seen my two clowns shake at each other in years

thanks again

ohh i want your clowns lol i dunno why my clowns bite or if there a way to stop them maybe an auto feeder so the clowns dont see me as the provider lol they normal see my hands then the food so maybe they think it feeding time everytime my hand in the tank but i dunno maybe its just the way mine are

my 2 new perculas seem to spend 90% of the time ast the top left corner of my tank, at the back!
its annoying, cos they are such amazing fish, i wanna see them more
there are plenty of places for them to explore, rocks, caves, plants and polyps, but they just stay there :(
