Thanks so much to everyone. Three more fish died this morning and the others were not looking good. Looked like I had nothing to loose so I did almost complete water change, cleaned up muck from gravel and re filled with treated tap water. Rescued a few plants so hopefully all will be well. Fish are certianly much happier swimming all through the tank and definitely not on their last legs.
One more question however. A couple of them appear to have a small patch of what I assume is a type of fungus on their sides now. Both in the same place - around their shoulder (if a fish could have one). This area/spot is white. Any suggustions.
