Hi again

My tank water looks like it has tiny particles floating in it which the sponges in both filters don't seem to be removing  I think its prob some form of algae is there anyway to remove it aside from blackouts and avoiding overfeeding? The water isnt green it just looks like theres tiny stuff in it.

Partial water change seems to be the "go to" remedy for most evils

Try some filter floss/fiber to filter out the smaller particles in your water.

definitly water changes. if it really becomes a problem, there are medications out there but i wouldn't go that far until it gets seriously cloudy and *maybe* you start losing fish.

Stay clear from products that "claim" to clear water.

Sounds like there is just debris in your water that your filter is not taking out. how long has this tank been up and running?

It's been setup for about 6 months but fish have been in for about 3.5 months now. I've added filter floss to both the internal and external filter and the difference is staggering. It was never 'cloudy' as such just when you looked at it the water definately had suspended particles in it.

I do 30% changes every thursday and quite often I'll do a 20% change in between as I have 2 GBR and I like to keep the water as good as I can for them.

is it possible it could be an
algal bloom how long as the tank
been like it
