I have two tank, one tropical which the water is crystal clear however the cold water tank is cloudy no matter how many water changes I do.

Parameters Am 0, Nitritre 0, Nitrate 7-10, PH 7.3

Good gravel vacs done tank reasonably stocked, Eheim external 2026 along with juwel internal.

Any ideas to get nice clear water.

Its like trying to be a bio chemist.

Cheers

I've had that once before, a good vac really getting to the bottom of the gravel, plus when i fiinsh my vac i get a net and get the rest of the debris out with that as there if always some floating about.
and i stir the bottom up with a net as some debris floats on top of the gravel.
I maintain my tank twice a week, plus changing the mating twice a week as well.

How long has the cld tank been running and what temperature is it?

You could try filter aid from interpet but dont know how effective it is.

This happened to me with the goldfish tank. It has a Fluval 204 external filter exactly the same as the tropical tank (which is always crystal clear) but the water was always cloudy. I tried putting filter floss into the top basket of the filter and it worked really well. Have sparkling water now but I have to change the floss every 3 weeks or so.

have u had dead plants in the tank or dead leaves
what size is it

i think that the fish poo is making it cloudy and a good gravel clean whould probaly help
have you herd of infusorians
theyare one celled organism used to feed the smallest of fry when u start to cultivate them u put dead leaves or organic matter in this case poo and when the bacteria break it down the water goes cloudy which is food for infusorian they it goes clear as the infusorian eat the cloud if you like and it desapears
the biggest test for this is have good smell of the water when its cloudy and if it stincts its the broken down organic matter
