I have an aquarium of 135 litres capacity. I first filled it with water 3 weeks ago
and i did a fishless cycle for two weeks. the filter is biological. A week ago i put 12 cardinal tetras two angelfish, 4 platies, and an algea eater. The problem is that since day 1 the water of the aquarium has been very cloudy and has remained that way ever since. Of course i put inside STRESS COAT and STRESS ZYME but due to an error made by the LFS i put smaller doses that necessary. and another problem is that a day after i first filled it i had to empty it because the aquarium had to be moved. then i filled it again putting again the two liquids mentioned above. what can i do about the cloudy water? i also observe that a lot of the fish excrement is flowing in the water.
Another question: one of my platies started hiding inside a ship wreckage and is only coming out to feed. I m not sure if its a female, but does that mean its pregnant and is going to give birth soon?

Do you have any test kits......you mentioned that you did a fishless cycle but without test kits you wouldn't be able to tell if the cycle was complete or not.....if you do have them than what are your readings?

A fishless cycle normally take alot longer than 2 weeks. did you use pure amonia? If you did and have not checked the water parameters you could have big trouble.

The cloudiness IMO is due to the fact that your tank is not cycled and there are too many fish in there. The good bacteria that may have had a slim chance of growing in two weeks cannot handle all the fish waste. (especially if the algae eater is a pleco...which I am assuming it is)

If i were you i would go out and get me some amonia, nitrite and nitrate test kits ASAP (if you don't already have some) and I would also start doing 25% water changes every other day if not daily.

Your platy may be a female and may be ready to drop or it may be stressed due to high levels of amonia and nitrite.

How do your fish look? are their gill areas redder than normal?
Hopefully not as that is a sign of amonia/nitrite poisoning.

But start doing the water changes ASAP and post some readings for your tank. Oh and more stress coat is better than less......and stress zyme doesn't do much....if you are trying to ad good bacteria IMO the only good product is BIO-Spira

I have made the tests and all are ok. The fish look lively and they are behaving normally.

new tanks get cloudy, something 2 do w/bacteria i think

When you say ok what do you mean? Do you have the exact readings?

Could be a bacteria bloom, but personally I don't think there is enough bacteria good or bad. Besides they mentioned it has been cloudy from the beginning.....

I have a Tetra water analysis test and the results are:
Ph 7,2
KH 6
NO3 10
NO2 0
GH 10

i read that tanks get cloudy for the first cycling, can last from 2-30 days, whats ur amonia level, i dont know what those letters mean, so im not sure if it was listed.
