Off to buy a small heater tomorrow, what size should I get? Was thinking a 25w would be enough, maybe 50? I guess it to be about 25litres.

hiya, love the tank shape! ive just got my betta a new home, but ive not set it up yet, gotta decide wot i want 4 subtrate, but urs sounds great!

id say get the 25watt heater, or it will be 2 powerful 4 the tank.

u will have to take new pix 2 show us the step by step guide of how u set up ur bettas home!

Why do you say that? Helium has posted before about getting a tank setup for a Betta, and this is what he's getting. Nothing wrong with it being in this section.

I'm really excited about this, I've wanted a Betta since I got may main tank set up!

Was definitely more than 25 litres. Just wish I knew exactly is all

Well, added the heater today and some bacteria starter stuff to try and kickstart the filter before a fishy goes in.

The water is reaaaaaaaaaally cloudy, as this is my first sandy substrate... is this normal? Been nearly a day now.

how long did you rinse it for? Some sand is just really dirty.

Maybe you can get new sand?

are you running a filter? If so, that should clear up the cloudyness in a few days.
