Hiya people

I have finally found a decent sized, well priced home for my new boy (when I get him lol) but wanted to check something - they are Clearseal, so just the basic aquarium and needing to buy a hood separately (no problem) but I need to know if the hoods have shaped openings at the back to put my mini heater and mini filter in the tank. Do I need a mat underneath? Are Clearseal a good reliable brand? See them here:

I've got a 12 x 8 x 8 and a 24 x 8 x 8 by clearseal, the "hoods" are just a bit of preformed plastic, there are no openings. I just cut out a notch to get wires in for the heater and airline for the filters and it works fine

I've had them sat straight on wood and also on foam, it makes no real difference as they are so small, but if you have a bit of foam or polystyrene available, you are best using it.

i have 3 clearseal tanks

1 24x8x8
1 12x8x8
1 14x8x8

ive not had a problem with them so i would say they are reliable.

i personaly would go for the bigger one if you can

I have and have had various clearseal tanks: 36x15x12, 30x15x12, 24x15x12, 18x10x10 and 12x8x8. None of which I've had a problem with.
