Cleaning Sand

Hey guys below is a pic of my sand the one on the Bottom is my sand now and the one on the top is what i got out of my sand all crap and dirt. It looks so much better and makes the sand more fine.

All you need is an old fishing net. 2 buckets and lots of time (I was board)

step 1 fill your bucket up with sand and some water and the other bucket up half way with clean water.

Step 2 using the fishing net scoop some sand putting the net in to the water bucket and just shake the net( dont let sand come out the top) all the good sand will fall through the net and the junk will stay.

step 3 wats left in the net tip out. or make a SANDwich (SAD me)

step 4 rinse sand and add to tank


This could probably save you some money aswell if you cant afford the expensive sand. Mine was cheap.
