Well we did it today. Picked a good day for it too.

Basically ripped ALL the plants out.
Turns out that there is a brick shelf built into the pond at the back which 'baskets' of plants were stood on.

But after over 3 years of no maintenance they plants had spread from their baskets...it took 4 of us to remove one of them

But anyways, thanks for everyones input. Very sorry I couldn't offer you plants.
Particularly Jay who lives nearby, had LOOOAAADDS of reed type plants...I hope you weren't in the market for any!



Oh I worked out roughly how many litres it was (going by rough dimensions).
It's just over 2000l
With around 30 goldfish.
