hi everyone.

i have just taken to a 2 day cleaning trip to get rid of every bit of algae and junk fouling up the tanks and was wondering if anyone had any tricks for getting rid of the algae and trash from underneith the joints of the top supports of a tank. i am currently looking to sell my 4ft tanks when i upgrade to some moderately larger tanks and would like to get rid of the gunk in underneath the supports.

I dont really know what your set up is lik but have you tride using a tooth brush or a denture brusht(bristles make oval shap and start longer in middle then taper to shorter) just a thought

I'm not sure of the exact type of set up you have but I've been down that road before.
i used a gunk remover, let it sit in for a couple hours, then washed the tank thoroughly. That's been working very good for me.
by the way I haven't had problems with my fish in the tank.

Do keep in mind that you have to let the tank sit a couple of hours after you've cleaned it.

i use a toothbrush, and pot cleaning sponge which had a "metallic" surround that wasn't course enough to scratch my glass and that took the green straight off.

...just found it Spontex Brilliant Scourer
