I new to the fish world and i have a 20 gal. long tank. I don't remember all of the names of the fish that i have but i know i have 2 balloon belly mollys that just had baby's, only 9 of then i got in time, i have 3 rosy barbs, 1 snail, 2 craw daddies, 1 frog, 4 feeder fish, 1 knife fish and 2 fish that i don't remember then names of. i have all of the right equipment but i cant keep the bottom of the tank clean. i vac the rocks about once a week (20% water) but whenever i go to readjust one of my live plates i stir up all kind of stuff. i just got a bigger tank which i think is a 40 gal and i don't know how to add 20 more gal's with out killing my fish. i think i need to read some kind of book about fish tanks if any one know a good one please inform me.

Remove as much water as possilbe from the old tank, and add new water to fill it up adding declorinator.

It's ok if you have big waste producing fish or you tend to over feed, i do mine twice a week, but i would keep an eye on test results to make sure you are not over doing it.
