Cleaner Shrimp Vs Bristle Worm!

Hi folks!

I just saw one of my cleaner shrimps and a bristle GO TO WAR HEHEEE
This morn when my lights came on i noticed one of my shrimps acting weird !
he was jumping around like a one legged kangaroo in a mine field..yes!! exactly!!
so i looked closer and in his nipper was a bristle worm and a good size for a cleaner yes it was alive and
fighting back!
They bounced around the tank until the shrimp said enough is enough!! he severed the worms head from its
body and consumed the worm whole then the head.....
i never thought the shrimps would take a worm that size ...cool lol #

Yes cool lol .. i mean ive seen some brawls in my day!
maybe i should take him down to my local to throw some
of the two legged type of worms out !!

cool, Lysmata amboinensis. I didn't think they had it in them to take on a bristleworm.

Do you ever try to collect their larvae and grow them up?

Yes I have these too, and trust me they can give you a nasty nip, mine have 'bitten' me a few times

I can well believe the bristle worm coming off worse

well trod one nipped me once it tickled ..but now
they eat a little flake outta my hand!
they are so cockey and dam nosey!!
so threaten them with curry and they go away lol
