Claude - my baby suckermouth or bristlenose!?!?!?!

Thanks - no probs :D

It might very well matter in a few months as (as you probably know) there a "bit" (understatement  ) of a size difference between a bristlenose and a common plec. But you still have plenty of time yet :)

I like both of them the baby and bloozoo2 picture also. I want me a bn are they much different than a common pleco? to care for I mean.. :kewlpics:

You should know the sex by the time it gets to 2 inches long. I would say definately a bristle nose i looks just like my babies. I now have some which are an inch long, some at just over 2cm and they just laid more eggs 2 days ago. I have decided not to sell the fry until i can sex them. I also have 3 albino babies which are in my 15 gallon fry tank and i want to keep a couple of females if any of them turn out to be female.

yeah, there is definately a difference in the male and female. I have a male thats about 3" long and he has tons of bristles. I hardly ever see him tho, constantly hiding until late at night when the tank lights are off :/

if i recall... for most of the bristlenoses, the bristles don't really appear until the fish approaches sexual maturity at ~4" in length. (which means you might be holding onto that batch of fry for a while emma!)
