Within a crevice. im sure i have a clam.. It opens up and looks like feathers that a peering out. Its only small prob the size of a penny (uk).

Do these breed o their own, and is it a good sign of water quality as its been there for about 2 years in the same place. No idea how it got there as nothing was on that specific rock when purchased.. Must have hitchiked, but im sure they cannot move? Unless its grown...

They usually don't move although they do grow... The fact that it's still there after 2 years is a good sign :good:

I`ll move it from the crivice/hole its in..especially if it grows as it will soon get stuck.

If they are happy they dont move, but if things change they will soon upsticks and find a better place of the rockwork.
I was amazed to see mine working its way across a rock the other day after Id upgraded the tank and it didnt rate its new position much..lol I have a few different shapes and sizes and all have gone walk about at one time or another but they tend to do it after lights out so you dont see them.
Dont bother moving it, it will rehome itself if its not happy ;)

yeah, dont move it, it will move if it doesnt like the spot, staying in that spot means its getting enough food and flow to stay happy

cool. I`ll leave it where it is. I didn't they could move to be honest, but looking this morning its moved itself further back into the hole. Just hope it doesn`t get stuck.
