If I recall, their reproduction teqnique is a little... nasty. The larvae burrow into the fish.

Yeah, not only that but that can bring other parasites into the tank with them.

VERY bad idea unless you're going for a species tank.

Some clams are hermaphroditic , meaning they might not need a partner to mate.
