Cigar Shark

I don't want to take this off topic here. But have you considered local aquariums etc?
They'll have room, and may well already have a shoal of them...

wherever there's a fish thats tropical.... theres a big enough tropical tank
wherever theres a lfs...theres a person near that lfs that can house a shoal of cigar sharks

NEVER put to sleep an animal that is being put down because it is to big or for any reason like that.

not trying to put people off but; While juvenile fish can be grown on in smaller quarters even a single fully-grown specimen would require a 'tank' measuring a minimum of 10' x 4' x 6'/300cm x 120cm x 180cm/6480 litres.

It grows longer than 2 foot so most people wont be able to house one .

No

There is plenty of public aquariums which would take on 1 fish though...As said.

the reason i need to rehome this fish is because my arrowana is bullying it. my tank is 8ft by 2ft6inches. It has grown 6inches in a year & needs quite a bit of space, dont think my tank will be big enough for much longer,so it wouldnt be a good idea to put it in a smaller tank. sorry

I had 3 of these fish and ended up giving them to the London Aquarium. Unfortunately they jumped out of their temporary tank and died. As far as I know they still want large cigar sharks but tell them to cover the tank as they are jumpers. I also gave 2 large bala sharks to them and they continue to do well.

Quite satisfying to go and visit them and see them swimming around in such a huge tank!

this fish need a large home 20 or 30x the size of your little fish tank.
