Cichlids Or Community Tank

Wow they are expensive! Are these not adequate for a community tank with not too many fish? Like 10 neons a few silver sharks and maybe one or two additions

It might be ok but no real Guarentee. A 120gal is nowhere near big enough for silver sharks by the way. They need tanks of 12ft long x 3ft wide x 3ft high as they can get to around 14 inches and are very active and fast swimmers. They also need to be in groups of around 6+ although 10 would be better.

Oh really, this I did not know. Thanks! I thought they stayed reasonably small! However I knew about the groups thing

Not a lot of people do realise just how big they get and they don't realise how big a tank they need so don't worry, your not alone in that sense but its better you know now rather than get them and then find out
