Cichlid Tank

Hi all,

I'm starting my first cichlid tank and really don't know where to start as I'm new to it all. Was thinking malawi mbuna.

I was going to get a 55/60g tank would this be enough? I know you should keep cichlids in a bigger tank but this is all I have the room for. Also I already got a 48x16 stand so would like a tank to fit on that.

Any suggestions/starter points would be greatly appreciated.
