Hey guys,
So i noticed this morning one of my yellow labs is just sitting on substrate and hanging out. It hasn't been swhe imming around but when he does he goes under the leaf of a plant. My parameters are ammonia 0 nitrite 0 ahe nd nitrate 5. Did a 60% change ysterday just for maintenece he shows no physical problem, not breathing heavy and all other cichlids are happily swimming around.
Will post pic when not on tablet.

What tank mates are with it?
Is it being bullied, perhaps?
What is the pH and temperature?

Tank mates are 6 Yellow Labs and Bristle Nose pleco. Doesn't look bullied however there is white stuff around his mouth. I'm going to isolate him, NOW

Doing a 90% water change, removed carbon from both Fluval and Aquaclear. dosing tank with Maracyn Plus. Wish me luck

Not really, as it honestly seems like you have the right idea. Certainly seems odd that he is the only one with a fuzzy mouth and is the only one hanging out on his own. Nothing wrong with your stock unless you have a small tank. Looking at your sig, the tanks fine. (providing its not a foot square and 8 feet tall!)

I would agree with removing and treating with a anti-baterial/anti-fungal med. As far as ive heard (never used it, i dont shift far from Melafix unless i have to) Maracyn Plus is about the strongest you can buy over the counter and always works, so you shouldnt have any issues providing he comes through it, he'll be back with his buddies soon.

Hope this helps.

I just don't get how this happened all my parameters were normal. Maybe too many water changes stressed the out. I dosed the main tank just to be sure. Hate when my fishies get sick, also sets back my plans to stock further this week.

Hopefully the Maracyn doesn't affect the bio filter

So there seems to be another one sick, not as bad, however it seems to be the less mature ones.that are.getting sick as the bigger ones are swimming around like nothing is wrong. All water stats are the same

First affected passed today. I'm nervous about the rest of my tank

Second does last night, every one else seems in good health

So found the third dead today, the other three are unaffected and swimming happily and eating as is the BN Pleco. I'm starting to think too many water changes stressed the smaller ones out. My water stats are holding at Amm 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 5 and PH 7.6

Any thoughts?

Did they all have a fuzzy/cotton wool like fungus round there mouth/head??

Yes they did. Did my last dose yesterday and will change water tonight. Everyone is healthy.
