Cichlid Safe Plants

Got a mbuna tank that has been opposed to my plants in the past.

Is there anything that I can plant in there that can withstand the picking of my cichlids?

No, it's a waste of time growing plants with mbuna. You could try Java fern or vallis, but I doubt they would last long. Plastic is the only way.

Same with my goldfish there is no way you could do it

My angels sometimes have a go at the plants, annoys the hell out of me lol

Goldies should have plants though; it's good for them to be able to graze on them. Elodea is cheap and can be easily replaced once they've munched on it.

Mbuna have no plants were they come from; they feed on algae and the stuff that lives in it; they just rip plants up.

Lol. If I catch my Angels munching on the plants I walk up to the tank and they stop! It's like they have never been fed!

I have money wort and sword plants and they were beautiful when I got it then i gave it a month

When I first did my mbuna tank I planted it a bit with a good assortment of plants. They lasted a week.... Lol
