I was given six cichlids (atleast I think that's what they are) a month or more ago.
I'm new to this kind of fish, I usually only keep bettas and gold fish.
Two of them have been killed because one is very agressive and they, IMO are not in a big enough tank. I think it's a 10-15 gallon.
Anywho, there are some egg looking things in the tank. I'm not sure what it is, maybe fungus? I noticed it today.. didn't see it yesterday and one fish is staying close to it. Some of it is sitting on the bottom and it looks like some are stuck to the side.
I tried to get a decent photo, but I guess I should have fed them earlier in the day for more sunlight.
Here is a photo. Anyone have any idea what it is?

They look like eggs mate but i dont think they will last long in the tank you described.

Someone with experience in cichlids will be able to point you in the right direction.

thats eggs...and they are convicts....evil little blitters when kept in small tanks and a breeding pair...they are obviously protecting the eggs,,,,,,do you notice two cichlids in that corner chasing away the other fish?id remove all other fish except the pair...you can notice them as they should be protecting the eggs...one will be bigger than the other<male....

Thanks for the info I'll check the link out in the morning.
I really wish I had another tank so I could move the others out, but I don't.
I took them as a favour to an old co-worker. She had a 60g tank full of them and wanted to break of the pairs because they kept spawning. She also had two small taks of them too!
I had an empty tank and I guess I got one of the pairs!
Thanks agian!

Good news!
Got a new tank tonight and took the other two fish out of the tank with the pair.
