ok I took some advice from here and my lfs so I added another rainbow cichlid and a acara. The aggression has been much better BUT i was told the rainbow i added was a male and now i have eggs i would like to keep some do you think any will survive with the fm and acara hanging around and red eye tetre.

Leave them in the tank and see how the parents do hatching them, once the fry are free swimming this is when the major aggression problems come as the parents will be protecting fry that are all over the place. If you want to keep some you can syphon some out once they are free swimming and transferr them to another tank to grow them on. Don't catch fry in a net they are easily damaged.

Spreading the aggression lol that's quite disastrous. Keeping cichlids singly even with other kinds of fish will usually result in an aggressive, territorial behavior.

As with what everyone says, lots of plants and hiding places :)
