I have two firemouth cichlids that are displaying breeding behaviour, I found these on my driftwood and wondered if they were cichlids eggs or something else

I have no snails in my tank, I have other fish but they are all males (not firemouth cichlids)

Cichlids will lay their eggs in clusters. Not sure what they are but these aren't firemouth eggs.

What else is in the tank? Are you sure a nerite didn't hitchhike in? Is the wood new or old?

Aggreed. They could have come over on wood or plants. If they are snail eggs, you are pretty much stuck with them haha.
