It's a 75gal. as far as the jag goes, they'll be alright. I only have 1 jag, "and he tries to throw his weight around a little". But I also have 3 jack demps, 4 cons, and 2 oscars. Most of the fish stick with there own, so this lets him to have his own little territory. Feeding times fun though, I feed them staple cichlid pellets, the ones for large fish, and I drop them in one at a time. None of them attack each other they just throw the food around like there playing a game. Until my jag and my my largest male con feel like eating, then they go take the food, break it up, and go to different ends of the tank until they finish. Thanks for the advice though I'll keep a close eye on them.

i had 2 jags with 2 oscars and 1 convict the convict had to be moved cos my oscars took a dislike to him it only took them 3 seconds to double team him and stun him he oscars were a lot smaller but that didnt matter i learned the hard way so be watchful as ex-amp has said

Thanks my largest oscar and my jewel are not getting along. I believe my they are at it over territory, when my 2nd jewel gets healthy enough to go back into the tank I think that should help some. "Atleast even the odds".

jewels are generally mean and grow around 6 inches. your jds will reach around 10 inches and your jag will probably reach around 14. its advised to have only 2 full grown oscars in a 75 with maybe some lesser cichlids. . This is going to be cramped sooner than you think, or it might not be! your jag might go crazy and clear house before 10 inches. just my thought

I've never had this many in my tank at ounce. But before I put these guys in there I had 7, 4year old oscars in there. I started with 10 but three were killed in about a year and a half. It's been my experience that enviorment has a lot to do with the size my fish have grown to. When I traded my oscars to my lps they were about 4.5 to 5 inchs. I still check on them, and they dont look like they have grown much.

they were 4.5-5 inches in 4 years? they were definately stunted seeing as how oscars get 14 inches plus. just remmeber, their organs and what not still grow and before you know it they'll be dead because they shat out their intestines and their guts

it's idiots like you that i love to tic off. people swear they know everything about raising fish. you dont know jack, the only thing people like you do is believe what ever you hear on the internet. those pics were from a year ago and according to people like you they were sappose to eat each other to #### out there organs. yeah the oscars in my tank lasted about 2 days, but thats trial and error. thats how i've learned to take care of my fish. if anyone wants to see my fish today go to cichlidmadness.com under dark room and you'll see my babies pics from yesterday.
