Choosing Fish

I have an idea of what type of tank I want but not any type of fish to put in it.
I just dont want an ordinary tank... i was thinking salt water but that will be to hard so Im looking for fish that arent ordinary. I was thinkng maybe some carnivorus freshwater fish?

What size tank are you planning? It's a bit difficult to know what to recommened without knowing the rough tank size you have in mind.

It would also help to get a rough idea of how much work you would be able to put into maintenance, how much money you can spend and if you have previous exerience of fishkeeping. And the ph of your tap water might be useful too.
