Hi
We were looking for plecs that could possibly go in our soon to be purchased 300L Juwel there is a local store that has a huge variety of plecs all under 8" and labelled with L numbers they seem very responnsible and knowledgeable. They had some gorgeous little plecs that were labelled chocolate ancistrus and they said they would grow 5-6" adult size. Would this be a kind of bristle nose variant? Silly me can't remember the L number will go back and check today.
Will try and get a pic.
Many Thanks

Won't have an L number, will be an albino Ancistrus sp3 (common bristlenose) in all probability.

Unless it has black eyes then it is L144.

I'd link to plantercatfish for you but its down at the moment, it wont exceed 6 inches.

They were a dark chocolate brown colour with some orangy patches and black eyes so do not think they were albino, think it may just be a chocolate bristlenose! Shame planet catfish is down i had a look through that yesterday but could not spot the little fella

If it looked like this then yes its a Bn, males will get to 6" females 4-5"
